Last year I had an opportunity to visit Japan for a global marketing conference. I actually wanted to visit less touristy places, learn more about the culture and try unique local cuisines, but unfortunately I didn't get to do all that.

I realized there might be some people out there who feel the same way like I did. So I figure it would be nice to help and give them a tour of hidden gems in Jakarta.

I love to travel for a few reasons :
First, I automatically become a naturally curious being. I have the urge to try new things more, i.e trying salty licorice candy, pickled fish, natto beans, going on a super steep hike for the first time.

Second, I become more aware of my surroundings and appreciate the beauty of new different places and culture.

Lastly, when I travel and then return home, I see it in a whole new light.
When I traveled to Norway and came back to Indonesia, I realized there was so much more exploring of my own country that I needed to do and I was really excited and motivated to do that, whereas before I was stuck in my daily routine.
