Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Jane originally from China and I moved here in Toronto at 2010. I recently completed my Master’s degree, I have a job allowing me to work from anywhere so enjoy traveling whenever I can.
I’m clean, respectful, and genuinely curious about different cultures and people. I enjoy meaningful conversations, good food, nature walks, museums, and discovering local hidden gems.
I’m quiet at night, I love dogs and cats and I always respect house rules. I treat every place I stay as if it were my own home.
I joined Couchsurfing to experience cities through local perspectives rather than as a typical tourist, and hopefully make new friends along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined Couchsurfing to travel more meaningfully, I believe to connect with people is more important than just seeing the place . And the best memories always come from a good conversations, a delicious local meals, and genuine culture.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy a mix of music — from classical and instrumental to pop and indie. But especially Flamenco, Nuevo Jazz, Tango, and traditional Chinese music.
I love thoughtful movies, travel documentaries, and stories that reflect real life. My favorite movies include Studio Ghibli films and The Matrix — anything creative, thoughtful, and a little bit philosophical.
Recently I’ve been reading books on psychology, personal growth, and global culture.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I built a life in a new country from scratch — studying, working, and exploring. Meanwhile taking care of my young brother and two cats.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share stories about life in China and Canada, Chinese culture, and international experiences. I’d love to learn local traditions, history, and everyday life in different places. Additionally I enjoy sharing thoughts on personal growth, mindfulness, and well-being.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’d be happy to share snacks or drinks , cook a homemade Chinese meal (I’m a good home cook!), help with English/Chinese practice, or simply bring positive energy and good conversation.
If you’re interested, I can also guide a gentle outdoor meditation or a light yoga session — I’ve been practicing for several years and enjoy sharing calm, mindful moments.
