I have spent the last 2 years living and working in Chengdu, China. I am a secondary school teacher, working at an international Canadian School. It has been an amazing experience here in China, but it is now time to head home to Canada. On my way home I will be traveling on the Trans Siberian through Russia and into Western Europe.

I started my traveling experiences when I was 18 when I moved to western Canada just for something to do. From there it has become a very large part of my life and I try to do it as often as I can. I was a mover for many years, working in Eastern Canada, Mexico, South Korea and going to school in New Zealand. In the past few years I have been taking on the role of becoming a vacationer and love being able to bum around from place to place, meeting as many new and interesting people as possible.

The world is a wonderful and great place with so many amazing things to see. I am hoping to be able to see as much of it as I can.

I have never done couch surfing before but I am hoping that I will be able to give it a try a few times on this trip. I look forward to being able to meet local people over just other travellers that you meet in hostels and such.

I am hoping to be able to meet as many local people as I can in my travels. I think that it will be a great way to travel around and learn the best places to visit. I hope when I return to Canada that I will be able to host people in my home as well. I want to try to stay connected with the traveling world as much as I can even when I am not personally traveling myself.

I greatly enjoy the outdoors, hiking, camping, and canoeing. Also, cooking, museums, theatre, ect.

Anything for music. Books I mostly like historical fiction but am always open to others.

I honestly would not know how to pick one but I have been lucky enough to have already live around the world a bit and see some very interesting things. I have had some great experiences and some not so great but they all add to the memories the same.

I can share my thoughts and understanding of the world as I see it. I would hope to be able to be a interesting guest that my hosts would want to spend a little extra time with. Also, since I am a teacher and have spent a few years teaching overseas I would be more then happy to help anyone that wants to practice their English.
