About Me

PLEASE READ FIRST
I do not accept a friend-request or share contact info before I've met a person
I do not accept guests or stay with hosts without sufficient references
I don't get notifications from CS and don't check it every day, so I can be a very slow responder.

CURRENT MISSION

Explore Mallorca and all it has to offer.

ABOUT ME

I'm short, female and danish/greenlandic. Lover of coffee and Tequila. I love travelling and especially immersing myself in a foreign culture.

Since 2022 I’ve been semi nomadic - I’ve lived in Zanzibar, Bulgaria and now Mallorca. In between I’ve travelled in Zambia, South Africa, Namibia and the Philippines.

I am calm tempered person and a classic example of an ambivert. In some settings I am very reserved and just sit back and observe, in other settings I’ll be the center of attention. As I’m getting older it is more likely the first one.
I tend to be very silly, love to joke around, always lauging at stuff going on inside my head. But I also love deep conversations about the human existance.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've couch surfed in China, Poland, USA, and Peru. I've hosted a few events in last apartment and had a few surfers live with me - however this was all such a long time ago so I'm exited to become a little bit more active.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed when I was in Beijing, and ended up at a small Martial arts school 2 hours south of the city. We were 5 people living with Master Chen and his family of three generations. We lived in bare concrete rooms, and started the training a 7am. It was all quite spontaneous, but one of the best experiences so far..

Interests

"Some people look for beautiful places, other people make a place beautiful"

According to my Spotify Wrapped I listened to 2143 different artists this year. I am not even sure how that is possible because that is almost 6 unique artists every single day.
But my point is, I like a lot of different things. I practised Wing Tsun for a few year and I’ve also done yoga for a few year.
I love to be active and go on long walks, do yoga, hike, surf, kayak, sail, etc. But I also love to stay at home and spend hours cooking and just chill with some people, good food and few bottles wine (to share).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: This year according to my Spotify Wrapped I had three different music periods;
Beginning of the year it was my “Dance Party Beats House” phase,
then I moved on to “Coastal Grandmoster Oldschool Soul Souldies” Season,
later in the year it turned into a “Pink Pilates Hollywood Afrobeat” moment, and now I’m scounting for my next phase after having listedned to Jungle on repeat.

Books:
I all most exclusively read fantasy and Sci-Fi books. Currently reading Earth Sea by Ursula Le Guin.

TV Series:
I loooove a good tv show and I have no self control when it comes to bingeing.
My favorites:
Sit com: The Office (US), Brooklyn 9-9, New Girl
Fantasy: Sandman, The Magicians
Sci-Fi: The Mandalorian, 3 Body Problem
Drama: Ted Lasso, Suits, Insecure
Guilty Pleasure: Emily in Paris

Favorite at the moment: Shrinking

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My trip to Guatemala. I went there with my class for 25 days, to do a volunteer-project in Paquisic, which is a small Maya-community close to Xela. My favorite moment was in Monterrico, where I got drunk and laid on the beach, looking up at the stars, singing with two of my best friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

In general I’d just say I’ve got a lot of pretty good life skills that I love to share, teach, or improve/expand. Wether it is DIY projects, how to grow a plant from an Avocado seed, cook or make the best espresso martini you’ve ever had.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Awesome military stories, my michelin cooking skills and endless rants about fantasy books nobody has ever read..

Or well, look at my references to see what other people think of me.
