Active older couple. We enjoy travelling and have visited parts of North, Central and South America, Europe, Japan and Korea.

PHILOSOPHY

I oppose factory farming and the inherent farm animal cruelty. I look forward to the day when all sentient beings are respected - not just our pampered cats and dogs.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a very new member to Couch Surfing and look forward to meeting new people. My friend Kathy has been fantastic in helping me get started. I really look forward to our first surfing in Newfoundland this July!

Interests

Travel, language study, playing hockey, bicycling, winemaking, reading.
We are active volunteers with the Guatemala Stove Project and have made two visits to Guatemala in the past 3 years. We have also volunteered in Colombia and Peru and hope to go to Nicaragua next winter.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy many kinds of music - modern, classical, latin beat. Once a year I get my fill of bagpipes at the Maxville Highland Games.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a 66 year old, I guess could share the ups and downs of life. I am focused on trying to learn spanish at this point but it seems to be a work in progress. I never seem to have enough time or enough neuron connections. Who knows.
