Move on, try, experience
I am easy going person, I respect the differences and I enjoy meeting new people, listen to their ideas, adventures, stories and dreams.
Sometimes I am bit shy or maybe a reserved, but I talk a lot, I can be a hyperlink when I speak, it means that sometimes I start talking about something and I shift for something else.
Most of times I enjoying being in small groups, I love go for a coffee and chat, a dinner, I am not in the mood anymore of spending the night awake in a loud place, eventhough I like events, festival during the day outdoors with a lot of people. I think I may have a personality of contrasts or extremes.
I am kind, honest, humble, I like to be with people, but sometimes I love to be on my own. Freedom is a gift and it’s priceless.
I love meeting people with different cultures, languages and backgrounds. I did not have opportunity to travel much and I think it’s a way to enrich our knowledge and share different experiences as to live a bit the unknown. I have a met people whose their experience made me change my mind in a better way, they made me wish to try, share opinions, be different but still friends.
I believe that it’s easier to know when we meet, but I think it will gives a brief idea about who I am.
Apparently this quote belongs to Charles Chaplin, but I am not really sure, I used to think it was from Antoine Saint-Exupery, anyway, it does express what I believe, the translation must not be perfect, but I think it does the work:
'Every people that pass in our live, pass alone, because each person is unique and has no substitute! Each person that pass in our live, pass alone but does not leave us lonesome, because they leave a little of themselves and take with them a little of us. This is the most beautiful responsibility in life and the proof that people don’t meet each other by accident.'
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment, I have not done much, when I have a chance, I like to attend couchsurfing meetings. At the moment I live in a share house and I am unable to host people, but I am happy to meet for a coffee, walk, a little tour around the city and a good conversation.
I have never also asked to be hosted, maybe someday.
My main experiences in Couchsurfing was through a friend that used to host couchsurfers in Brazil, a few times we met her couchsurfers and went for a tour through the city, meetings, bars, nightclubs. I had met lovely and unforgettable people, one of my best friends in Australia I met through the Couchsurfing, so I really believe this place can make amazing people crossing our way in unexpected ways.
I like sports, but I haven’t done much. I love walking and I walk everywhere, whenever it's possible, I like warm weather (not extremely hot) and I like to be surrounded by the sea, ocean, I have fascination for the sea, but I am a very bad swimmer. After visiting Cairns I put in my mind that I will improve my swimming skills and maybe do a diving course, the ocean is divine and it can't be missed what it has to offer.
I am not keen of spending long night out, but I love going out for dinner in a different place, in a cute cafe to try some unusual sweet, walking in the bush and around the ocean.
Also, I love dancing, it does not matter if you dance well or not, dancing free your soul and makes us feel lighter.
- outdoor activities
- scuba diving
Music, Movies, and Books
I do not have a particular type of music that I like, I like all kinds of music, from Sinatra to Madonna or some salsa or flamenco songs. I like music that can make me dance, laugh and sometimes relax, I don't have a style I guess. I like a bit of everything.
Movies, I like any, I prefer comedies, suspense or animation and I am not keen in Sad Stories, unless it is a movie about war, I love movies about wars.
Books: The Little Prince is very special for me and like The art of War and also I have fascinating for dictionaries, but I don’t read them.
Teach, Learn, Share
I still have too much to learn, I am still in transition of where I will live, stay and what I will do, sometimes it worries me a bit, but life is short, so better not think about it.
Even bad things or what we think is bad happens for a reason, it teach us and make us grow, we may not reach our goal, but we will learn so much that it will worthwhile whatever we decide to engage with, even if it does not work exactly as we expect.
The only truth I know, is that I am continuously learning....
