My husband and two kids live in Bryan, TX, right next to College Station, home of TAMU. I've traveled quite a bit in my 20s and my 30s have been more family focused. We are from Philadelphia, so moving to "small town" Texas was a quite a shock. However, we've come to see that people, no matter where they are from, what their religious or political backgrounds are, are genuinely good people.

I work full time, but am open to meeting up for lunch or coffee if you are new to town or are visiting.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think this Couch Surfing project is a great way to connect with people from all over the world. Staying in someone's home is an experience a world and culture that cannot be experienced in hotels and tour groups. The more we share, the more we know. The more we know, the more we understand. The more we understand, the more we empathize and have compassion to give to a hurting world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed through India about seven years ago, and had an amazing experience meeting different people. It was a much richer experience because it wasn't just about the tourist sites but about connecting and seeing India through the eyes of people who live there. I highly recommend it! My one rule of thumb as a single woman back then was to stay with families with kids. That served me well.

There are so many great movies and books out there. The great books have usually been made into movies! My favorite books are East of Eden, My Name Is Asher Luv, and A Hundred Years of Solitude.

Great movies I love watching over and over are Love Actually, Charlie's Angels, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, and Crash
