My name is Janice, I'm 19 and currently living in Edmonton, Canada. I am studying to complete my Bachelor of Music, and I am moving to Helsinki for 10 months in August to study abroad. I love to challenge myself and learn about different cultures and meet different people. I hope to have travelled to at least 10 new countries by the end of June 2018.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I wat to connect with other people to know their stories, and the culture. Travelling from hotel to hotel can be a little boring and shallow - you're not really experiencing the current city/town/country like a local. Getting deep into the culture, history and learning about the people is really why I want to travel. Inviting people into my home (soon), and being invited into other people's home offers a unique experience to do just that,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have lived in 3 different countries (on three different continents) - soon to be four!
It may not sound too adventurous, but it was the best night of my life so far - travelling to Toronto to see my favourite band! It was my first solo trip, and it turned out amazingly well!
