About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To smile at the world with an open heart
ABOUT ME
Hiya, I'm Jane!
The kind of travelling I love the best is the 'bouncing about in the back of a jeep' sort, off into remote places, to meet people who are sweet and open and smile from their hearts.
No longer content with just sitting on a beach or ticking sights of a list I am seeking more of a meaningful travel experience, whether that be volunteering for charitable organisations or spending time with local people, or going to ashrams or temples - whatever will help me understand another culture better, help people, or gain a better perspective on my life.
My philosophy of travel is that it accelerates learning both about the self and the world, it pushes the boundaries of the comfort zone, opens the mind to all the miracles that are happening each day, and it inspires creativity!
PHILOSOPHY
Be like the hollow reed that becomes a flute.
Empty yourself of fear and be the pure love you seek.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
If you email me I will always respond to you, and hopefully will be able to offer you help and advice if you are travelling in this area. We can also meet for a coffee (I know some very good spots), and sometimes we have a bed here too. If we're on the road it will be wonderful to meet you and learn about you and your area.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have both hosted and surfed in the past, and it has all been both a fascinating and challenging experience. The first host I ever stayed with became my pen friend, and she is still my pen-friend today!
Interests
I get excited about travelling, camping, the SUN, running my monthly 'red tent' women's group, and plants.
I am learning homoeopathy, and am also interested in healing, herbal medicine, hedgerow foraging, growing vegetables, vegan cookery, fermenting vegetables, eco-houses, alternative energy and writing for my blog about femininity (www.themoonandthewomb.wordpress.com).
I practice Yoga as often as I can and am interested in Eastern philosophy and spirituality.
Other things I like are beetroots, herbal teas, juices, Spirulina, healthy happy good living, love, singing, reading and much much more...
