🇪🇸 ¡Hola! Soy Janire, de un pequeño pueblo en el norte verde de España. Estudié periodismo y sueño cada día con viajar por el mundo con mi cámara en mano contando las historias más alucinantes y bellas del mundo. Con palabras, instantáneas e imágenes en movimiento. Por lo pronto, y próximamente, me mudo a Suiza para trabajar la temporada de invierno en un hotel de montaña (así que durante unos meses no podré acoger, pero sí viajar mucho por Suiza y Europa). Me encanta compartir comidas, descubrir lugares con personas locales, aprender idiomas y conectar con viajeros creativos, amantes de la naturaleza, la fotografía/vídeo, y la cultura.

🇺🇸 Hi! I’m Janire, from a small town in the green north of Spain. I studied journalism, and I dream every day of traveling the world with my camera in hand, telling the most amazing and beautiful stories I find — through words, snapshots, and moving images. For now, I’ll soon be moving to Switzerland to work the winter season in a mountain hotel (so I won’t be able to host for a few months, but I will be traveling a lot around Switzerland and Europe). I love sharing meals, discovering new places with local people, learning languages, and connecting with creative travelers who enjoy nature, photography/video, and culture.

Music, Movies, and Books

🇪🇸 Mi música depende mucho del mood del momento: escucho de todo, pero siempre vuelvo al rock y pop-rock español (Fito y Fitipaldis, Arde Bogotá, Estopa) y vasco (Zetak, Gatibu, Izaro), y al indie/alternativo en inglés (Charlie Cunningham, Derik Fein, Jon Wiilde), y muchísimos más. También me gustan el rap (especialmente El Chojin y Karen.O), el jazz y la música clásica instrumental cuando necesito recargar mi batería social. El reguetón y el trap no son muy lo mío, la verdad…

En cuanto a los libros, he leído muchos menos de los que me gustaría: tengo una lista infinita por leer. De los que sí he leído, prefiero los que me enseñan algo—psicología, inteligencia emocional, altas capacidades, neurodivergencia… Eso sí, soy un desastre recordando nombres de autores y títulos…

En cuanto a series y pelis, me gustan la intriga, la comedia, el suspense, los documentales y todo lo detectivesco.

🇺🇸 My music really depends on my mood: I listen to a bit of everything, but I always end up coming back to Spanish rock and pop-rock (Fito y Fitipaldis, Arde Bogotá, Estopa), Basque music (Zetak, Gatibu, Izaro), and indie/alternative in English (Charlie Cunningham, Derik Fein, Jon Wiilde), among many others. I also enjoy rap (especially El Chojin and Kase.O), jazz, and instrumental classical music when I need to recharge my social battery. Reggaeton and trap aren’t really my thing, to be honest…

When it comes to books, I’ve read far fewer than I’d like — my “to read” list is endless. From the ones I have read, I prefer books I can learn something from: psychology, emotional intelligence, high abilities, neurodivergence… The only problem is that I’m terrible at remembering authors’ names and book titles.

As for series and movies, I love intrigue, comedy, suspense, documentaries, and anything detective-related.

🇪🇸Me encanta compartir mis aficiones con aquellos que las compartan: la fotografía, el vídeo, la naturaleza y los animales… nos llevaremos bien si te gusta cualquiera de estos hobbies (amores). Y aunque ahora estoy viajando mucho y no puedo acoger a nadie, tengo claro que en cuanto me asiente en un lugar será un placer abrir mi casa y devolver toda la hospitalidad que reciba por el camino.

🇺🇸 I love sharing my hobbies with people who enjoy the same things: photography, video, nature, and animals… if you’re into any of those, we’ll get along great. And even though I’m traveling a lot right now and can’t host anyone, I know that once I settle down somewhere, it will be a pleasure to open my home and give back all the hospitality I receive along the way.

I’m a very curious person, so I naturally end up asking lots of questions and turning conversations into little mini-interviews to get to know people better.
