About Me

CURRENTLY TRAVELLING THE WORLD!

Living in peace and calmness of never-ending wonder of life.

Sharing the moments with others on this adventurous journey.

Through travel meet amazing people from whom I could learn
a yet new perspective on life.

CURRENT MISSION

My current dreams are to explore the Western part of the globe, commencing through Meso-America and make my way south to the mountains of the Andes and the Jungles of Peru. My vision is to learn and listen to the indigenous knowledge and way of equilibrium with our Planet, submerge myself into community-based permaculture projects, ecovillages, farms, and family houses to expand my knowledge about natural ways of living, tropical environments and native spirituality. I love to be on the road, going up the country and enjoy the beauty of the sun, rain, storms, mountains, feeling so lucky to experience throughout my journeys. Rainbow Warrior fighting for the Earth!

ABOUT ME

I'm a passionate and open-minded character that loves to take a vital role in creating our environment. I believe that we humans are powerful holistic connectors in the extremely interlinked and complex habitat of our Blue Planet. Through conscious and aware of our place in Natural through action, we could bring inspiration, creativity, and intuitive imagination to make our home a more beautiful, peaceful place. Through travel, voluntary work and education we can expand our horizons about the world, community and ourselves. Especially in the times of a rapidly progressing change of our climate and environment, down-rooted, off-grid intentional community work are extremely important to balance the human footprint we leave on the Planet.
I have just graduated in Earth and Environmental Science and follow up with a Climate and Ecosystem oriented research ever since. I got great interest in the human place on Earth in its anthropological, cultural, ecological and spiritual context. Through natural activism, music, a healthy vegetarian diet, a regular yoga, and meditation practice help me to find my roots on the go. I have always believed myself to be a nomad and idea of travel, meeting new cultures, stepping outside of my comfort zone to be challenged and open myself to whatever comes seams to me like a life-style choice, a choice that makes me grow, listen and learn through every step I take.

Though the 25 years of my life I have managed to travel extensively throughout Europe with numerous visits to Asia and Oceania, some of which had changed to a longer-stays:). With the South Indian beaches and cliffy coast, deserts of Rajasthan and breathtaking Himalayan wonders, Jungles of Australia and incredible forest of Northern Thailand, Laos and Indonesia, I have seen enough just to ignite my spirit of exploring more. I have always been strongly drawn by the mountains and this is a place where I really feel home, where I can reflect, meditate and grow. Though my first trip to SE Asia I have spend few months on different permaculture projects where I learned a lot about tropical agroforestry, natural building, growing vegetables and fruits and a wider context of zero-waste, ecological community projects. I have also taught in a few primary school English to local children in Thailand, Nepal, and Indonesia. Though my first Himalayan expeditions it becomes really clear that the topic of mountain environments and community resilience and challenges they face would become a major drive for my further education and direction in life. Recently I have been involved in educational projects regarding natural disaster mitigations among native communities in Bali Indonesia, mainly involving work at primary schools.

As I rarely can sit in one place, I need to act, be involved and creative. That is why I put a lot of energy into studying the language philosophies and believes of different cultures around the world as I believe that communication-based on empathy and understanding is very important. I am a very open-minded and rather talkative person as I believe that the stories are a very important element of our life, shaping our reality and dreams. I'm a self-confident and communicative person, with not only a huge will to listen and share the visions of the world with others

I consider myself an artist, philosopher, activist and simply human being that can not imagine the world without books, I travel with them everywhere. My favorite writers are Kerouac, Hesse, Huxley, Marquez yet many of the great people I admire escape classification though their art and creation like Jodorowsky, Casteneda and powerful insights of Krishnamurti. Throughout my life I have been very strongly inspired by Eastern and Oriental philosophies, committing myself to deep study of Indian thought, Zen, Taoism and Buddism, and the daily practice of meditation and yoga. By most, I find joy and pure happiness in music. For me, there is no life without dance and music, as they are a free and pure expression of our spirit. I am a vibrant-soul, and always eager to jam, play and jump around the fireplace, I play Native American flute myself. For me spending time in nature is very important as I feel that nature reestablish my connection with the universe and art helps me heal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As it is an amazing possibility to get to know with other people from all around the world, to share the passions, dreams, ideas, hehe and food I have met incredibly interesting people that have shown me the sites, places and took me to events that I would never be able to explore without local guides :)!

Interests

I am passionate about travel. Since I was a young boy I have been dreaming about discovering foreign lands.
From the moment I have turned 18 I have spent 3 years backpacking mainly in Asia, which has opened my eyes to alternative ways of living, and even though I have settled for a while to finish my Earth-degree, now I fully back on the road. I believe that this wonder of travels can be a powerful tool to get to know one-self better
I love books as the are the gateways to the magic of life under the dream-like closed eyes. Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Huxley, H.Hesse, Lao Tsu among others are the writers that accompany my life. I always have a copy of Dhammapada with me while traveling.
I am writing a lot too, about my travels, people I meet and all that is happening around- I love to write as a form of artistic expression!
I am an active person and I love cycling, running, and outdoor activities. I am a fierce mountain climber and I love spending time on the mountain passes, traversing the valleys and emerging myself into the woods, with the warm evenings by the fire, speaking tea and listen to friends with whom I am bound to share my camp with.
Mountains have drawn me a lot, so any topic from mountain life to mountaineeniring and climbing is very present in my life.
Ayurveda and Yoga are essential elements of my lifestyle and daily practice. I meditate a lot and it helps me to find balance. Nature in every sake is my biggest interest :D- so even if not traveling for a long time I spend weekends on mountain hikes and camping trips. I love to camp and usually, it is the way I find accommodation while traveling.
I am interested deeply in a sustainable, zero-waste and deep-ecological way of living what marks my daily-life philosophy! I am very attracted by the Eastern way of thinking, Buddhistic and Taoistic thoughts are very close to my heart. I love to talk to people :)
My travels and explorations have been leading me to spend time with with indigenous people to learn from their insights and knowledge about our place in nature.
Food is the way we heal our body and I put a great passion in the way I eat and prepare my food. I am vegetarian with the majority of my food being vegan and I am always very happy to learn new things.
I am playing flutes as I love their native and pure sound! My biggest friends are My Native American Flute. It is beautiful to find people to play music with.
I consider photography a way of looking at the world and as an amateur photographer, I am very happy to exchange experiences and learn.
Ecological Activism- we have power in our hands!
