About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy the carefree nature of life while pursuing my love of science.
ABOUT ME
I'm not one who excels at describing oneself but I enjoy writing articles and I am the current Records Editor at a local magazine. I tend to keep myself organised but enjoy letting go, gallivanting, exploring and generally taking risks both geographically and socially. I am an aspiring immunologist and intend to pursue a PhD in Cancer Immunology. I play a plethora of instruments and enjoy producing music during my time off as well as the generally obvious: drinking/getting to know people/and playing video games. I am not closeted in any way and welcome conversation with open arms, the more I get to know about someone the happier I am, and I have no problem divulging anything that interests you about me!
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophy very much pertains to sustainability towards my interests. I do not necessarily desire personal wealth, I want enough sustainability to pursue my many interests. The three main things being Biological Science and furthering the reach of our knowledge into the field of medicine, music journalism, and making music. I also very much believe that opportunities must be capitalised upon even when unsure, opportunities rarely come twice, if an avenue is left unexplored I will feel as if I'm cheating myself out of what it means to be on this earth. However, I take my quixotic ideals modestly, at my core I would consider myself a troubled realist, considering realism has only gotten me this far in my life and I feel that I haven't even scratched the surface of what my senses have the potential of experiencing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm fresh to couchsurfing since I usually tended to go to visit countries where I already know someone from a night out and email them personally, that being said I am very accustomed to the couchsurfing lifestyle. I regularly let people stay over at my flat in Southampton and Slovenia, as well as Singapore (if anyone bothers to venture that far!).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've couchsurfed several times but always as part of a larger group with established accounts and references, hence the lack of references I have. I have done so in the UK (Bristol, Leeds, London, Sheffield), Croatia, Italy, Barcelona and Budapest. I have never had a negative experience and have always found slotting into a groove with the people who live there to be very easy. Furthermore, a good friend of mine has had couchsurfers over every time I have gone to visit and the people that this community attracts has always been interesting and very gregarious, I look forward to venturing into couchsurfing with a closer knit group of people so that I get to know the process better. I always bring gifts as well! There is no way a couchsurfer host doesn't deserve one.
Interests
Apart from all forms of music due to my journalism career and making music (which I've been doing for the past 5 years), I am an avid fan of film, especially American independent cinema and Cantonese/Singaporean/Australian/Japanese (namely anime such as Akira and anything by Hayao Miyazaki) independent cinema. I am a voracious reader, cyclist (fixed gear and mountain), and water sports enthusiast.
I should add, my time at the University of Southampton has been spent with many comedians, perhaps too many, I'll just say that humour is most definitely an interest of mine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ufff this truly is a tough one. I suppose something that will always be stuck in my memory is when me and a friend decided to hit up as many romkocsma as possible before covering the festival of Sziget. The amount of people we managed to meet, stay friends with, and help out in a period from 10PM to 1PM the next day was astonishing. I'd never seen anything like it.
