About Me

CURRENT MISSION

experiencing cultures, life, freedom! i want to meet new people and get inspired by whatever life offers me

ABOUT ME

I communicate a lot with people and if that doesn't work out I can be a really awkward person :D I get on well with everybody who likes to have a good time though! :)

PHILOSOPHY

On my flight to my exchange year in Phoenix, Arizona a guy told me that "Life is Liberty".

Just try to be the best person you can, be respectful and keep your own mind and weird sense of humor. Also chill about the others. Some of them are actually not too bad.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing is a cool way for people with a low budget like me to travel around and discover different cultures. I am very flexible and would of course try to not be problem for my host.
While staying over at my house, you can hang out with me and my roommates if you want to, but it's absolutely no problem if you are just looking for a place to sleep :) Everyone is welcome!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have backpacked/interrailed through Europe with an American friend using also Couchsurfing. We had a great time staying at random places like huts in the woods or boats and I can encourage everyone to join Couchsurfing!!!

Interests

FOOTBALL!!! -> Soccer (especially my two favorite German football teams: 1.FC Saarbrücken and Arminia Bielefeld).
I am also into all kinds of sports in general, travelling, reading literature, learning new languages, music, history, geographical stuff, nerdy jokes and almost every random topic there is...
I am also very passionate about playing "fooseball" (futbolín, Tischkicker, however you want to call it).

Music, Movies, and Books

I loved "Goodbye Lenin!" as well as "Forrest Gump" and a lot of others - but mostly independent movies. I like almost every music genre, as long as it has a good beat (in my playlist you can find everything from Rammstein to Lady Gaga). During my time in Spain I became a big fan of Dubioza Kolektiv, which is my favorite band next to Linkin Park now ... I have started to get into reading "real" books this year, so I am not exactly a literature expert - but love it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to be the weather man in my American high school's daily TV news. I was kind of famous at that school for giving long speeches on cloud formations somewhere in Iowa.
Best.Job.Ever.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is a tough one. I speak 3 languages fluently and a little French, so there is potential.
I am also quite a Geography-freak and always able to give a spontaneous lesson on capital cities.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Thoughts, conversations, meals, shampoo... :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Mexico, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Namibia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom, Vatican City State
