Because it's wonderful to travel around the world and feel like at home!
Honestly I think that you can't imagine how great is couchsurfing until you try it. Last year I had the most exciting experiences doing couchsurfing in Nepal and around India.

To share talks about life, spirituality, travels. Learn new languages (or only some words in a new language, hahaha)
