ABOUT ME
I am a girl from 1976, so starting to get some wrinkles here and there...but I feel young and unsettled still and I love travelling. My work also requires a lot of travel: I set up and run a fair trade company together with my husband Peter: FairMail. We train teenagers in Peru, India and soon Morocco in photography and we market their best photos on greetings cards as stock photos. The teenagers earn money with their own photos for their education and housing. So my life goal is to give the opportunity to deprived teenagers to develop themselves and to take their future in their own hands.
FairMail is my life so if you want to see more about that see www.fairmail.info or our facebook: FairMail Cards.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is an exercise in becoming the best version of yourself. So find your talents and use them for a better world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In september I arrive in Essaouira, Morocco, to stay for 8 months, and I want to get a good start in Morocco by living with local people so that I can learn the language and customs and get to know the town of Essaouira from a local perspective. I will work as volunteer in a local NGO and will try to start up a FairMail Morocco with local teenagers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
no experience yet but I have shared houses with our FairMail volunteers a lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-in Surinam my hosts let me sleep in their doublebed while they went to sleep on the couch....what a hospitality, that blew my mind!
-our guest from India got dizzy in Amsterdam from all the accelerating transport things we have: ferries, lifts, cars, trains, bicycles...he was only used to walking so this all was attacking his psysical balance!
- how there are ALWAYS great nice and helpful people everywhere you go....
