Hello, I am Jannik, 24 years old and a big fan of everything that has to do with travel and nature! Especially hiking, biking and kayaking are my passions, I try to do it as often as possible around my hometown, in Europe and sometimes also somewhere else in the world!

Right now, I study medicine in Witten, Germany. Besides that, I am working at a hospital in Bochum so that I know both cities and could show you some nice places!

When I am not working or studying, I am probably somewhere to travel, hike, bike or paddle. If not, I am chilling around with my friends who also like to meet new people. So if you wanna get to know the social life of my hometown, I could definitely arrange that! :)

Besides of this, I am very interested in Politics and everything around this, so I would be glad if we could have some nice discussions!

Last but not least I live vegetarian when I am not at travels, but if you want to cook with meat for yourselves, you’re free to do that :)

My favorite music-genre are Jazz, Rock and Hip-Hop, best artists are Herbie Hancock, Moon Hooch, Benjamin Clementine, Albert Ayler, Oanette Coolman, Red Hot Chili Peppers (and -Pipers), The Doors, Beatles, Tim Hardin, The Who, Bob Dylan, Geto Boys, MobbDeep, Tribe called Quest and Nas.

I love the movies of Tarantino, especially Django and Inglorious Basterds. I also like some Indie-Flims from Germany and Great Britain, for example Westwind, Victoria, Der Himmel über Berlin and Oh, Boy.
So if you have any Recommendations for something a bit romantic but also with some serious and dramatic parts, I would be happy to hear it! :)
Sometimes I also enjoy horror movies, but only the ones which are psychological scratch, such as The Forrest, Blairwich Project and Paranormal Activity.

In books like all Kinds of romans and everything by my favorite writers Paul Auster, Joseph Roth, Alfred Andersch, Alfred Döblin, Rafik Shami, Erich Kästner, Juli Zeh and Jane Austen.
I am not ashamed to say that I am a fan of books which are slightly romantic but also dramatic, wich is why I like Jane Austen so much!

- Hiked from Lagodekhi in Georgia to Dagestan in Russia

- Paddled in Sweden for a week and slept every night on another selv-discovered island

I can show you the basics of First Aid, so if you need some (not certificated) help for your license, be not afraid to ask. Also I could teach you some German and English, how to write stories and some basics of Guitar playing. If you want to know something about survival, I might also be able to help you because I took Outdoor-Education at school in New Zealand and still use it sometimes.

I would really love to improve my Spanish and Russian, so especially Spanish or South American People and Russians are more than welcome! :D
Also I am always happy about some new information about biology and medical stuff and am always interested in new books, movies and musicians, so please tell me about your favorite ones!
I am a very bad cook, so if you would like to show me some recipes I would appreciate that!
