Hello there, nice to meet you. I am Jannik.
I moved to Cologne to study sports and that is how I primarily fill my time. When I am not at Uni I am on the Green playing Volleyball, chatting and enjoying the company of my peers.
I am a travel enthusiast who loves to meet new people and to spend time listening to your stories.
Previous experiences made me appreciate the little things in life. I enjoy a productive lifestyle meaning that I don't like to spend my time complaining about what I don't have. I am an easy guy to talk to and have learnt that the easiest way to meet people and feel a country is to blend out what you see on your phone and hear on television or radio stations.
The best experiences happen when you ask a stranger for a ride and end up being invited to a dinner with people from the Asian Development Bank and the Nepali government.(true story)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a great way to meet people and create amazing experiences. That is all I am here for.
- learning new things
- meeting new people
- seek discomfort
Music, Movies, and Books
My interest of music is varied and changes all the time. Right now I am enjoying Ed Sheeran, NF, Lewis Capaldi and Halsey.
I recently enjoyed the movie Shutter Island and Inception.
My favourite books definitely are "The Why Are You Here Cafe" by John Strelecky and "Peaceful Warrior" by Dan Millman.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing people live their passion.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you many things about nutrition, working out and body awareness, since that is the main thing I do in my free time. I also study sports science so I like to think that I know some things about this subject. If you want I can teach you how to do a free standing handstand.
I always want to improve myself and learn new things. I am open to learn from you.
Let's share unique experiences together.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Let's share long deep talks about life together. If you are not into that, that's cool with me. We can always grab a beer and talk about sports. :)
I recently picked up the guitar and am loving it. I'm totally down for any kind of jam session!
Also if you need help in or around the house, I am happy to help you.
