Hey my name is Jannis. At the moment i am backpacking europe and want to see the world before I get into studying again.
I am on my own right now, what turned out to a real challenge if you never did this before. You need to find food, water and a place to sleep every day, and also get somehow from a to b. I am pretty thankful for this experience. I would love to go to Tibet someday to study the culture and learn their language to maybe support the free Tibet movement.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people and learn from them, also it is a pretty good method for traveling.
My brother did the same thing on his traveling and told me how cool it is to sleep in local houses and not in hostels or smth. I mean if you want to get to know a place or a culture you have to talk to the locals!

I love reading ! At the moment I am completely in love with Hermann Hesse and Hemingway.
I read narziss and goldmund a couple of weeks ago which is perfect fitting into my current situation of backpacking around.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just the experience of finally being on my own. All my life in school was protected, safe and planed, but I never really enjoyed this lifestyle to bad. At the moment I can have a taste of how it is to be I independent and I can’t get the smile out of my face, I love it !
