Hey fellow travellers and hosts. I'm Janos, 22, and I'm from a small village close to the beautiful city of Lübeck in northern Germany.
I am a young and open-minded person who loves to travel and to get to know new people and cultures.
That's why I left Germany for 9 months after finishing my "Abitur" (A-Levels) and went to China for half a year to teach English there, where I fell in love with the country. After that I traveled thought South East Asia, together with my backpack.
Back home, I wanted to get to know Chinese culture and language better, so that I applied for studying Chinese in combination with business.
And guess what, it went according to plan and I am studying International Business Management German-Chinese in Reutlingen (2019-2021) and afterward in Beijing (2021-2024).
Due to COVID-19, I can't travel to China right now, thus all my classes are online.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to connect with people from all over the world to learn about their culture and to talk about and share our experiences with travelling the world.
All people I've met so far via Couchsurfing were extremely nice and made every place I visited somehow special. And I don't wanna give up this feeling.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to music from almost every genre (excluding rap and electronic music), but my favourite music define is 80's and 90's music (Queen, Michael Jackson, etc.)
With movies and series it's the same, all I care about is a good story/entertainment, but no comedy.
Favourite movies/series: LOTR, Harry Potter, Mulan, The Lion King, Game of Thrones, La casa de papel, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Greatest Showman, Interstellar, etc.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my experience about living and teaching and China for half a year in about my trip through South East Asia as well as anything regarding Germany and German culture.
And I can tell you a lot about the Chinese language and even teach you some words.
And I want to learn as much as possible about culture, people and food of every country I am visiting.
