About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Teaching and finishing my Yoga studies in Thailand until September :)

ABOUT ME

ALL about me this window wants to know...

Well, there is not so much to say of course:
My life is boring, I`m travelling in my van or with some backpacks through the world. I love watching sunsets over the sea, cooking dinner, listening to audiobooks and visiting friends in big cities.

Not travelling, I enjoy common things like anyone: people, playing underwaterrugby, musicsessions (I play my bass between worldmusic, funk & trance, didgeridoo, percussion and occasionaly sing lullabies).

Sometimes I'm giving massages to people in spas and on other days people come to me and ask weird questions about their health
(I usually pinch them with little needles for that, hehehe). And almost daily I'm working on this boring self with Yoga and Meditation.

I further enjoy rainbow gatherings, snowboarding, kitesurfing, hugging,
volunteering on Dalai Lama conferences, spending winters in a yoga-
school in Thailand, the fusion festival, nature, sweatlodges, the Now,
Vipassana Retreats, bhajans, taking & editing photos and my canoe.

Hmm, what else is to say?? I was studying arts and music theory
for a while, then became naturopath, acupuncturist and yogateacher.
For some years friends and I organized conferences for shamanic and anthroposophical medicine in Munich and sometimes I worked
as a clown.

So obviously my life is calm and undisturbed.

PHILOSOPHY

Hmmm, being a happy child of the world, no one’s slave and
no one’s master while aiming to master myself
...and leaving toilets in the way I would like to find them :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to welcome people, share time and space, show you around and cook vegetarian, fresh, preferably organic food together.
Oh, I seldom drink alc... I'm boring... as said above...

Travelling I love to feel welcome by people who are openminded and heartful. And I love to (respectfully) use your kitchen.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though I've slept on quite some couches, beds, hammocks and floors of beautiful people worldwide, I didn't use the couchsurfing net too often. But so far all my experiences here were exellent.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like books from Traditional Yoga Classics to Harry Potter,
from David Deida to Eckhart Tolle, from Coelho to Hesse and from large size Photomagazines to Holistic Medicine, but I seldom find a lot of time to read. Also I love audiobooks, audioplays and mp3-lectures.

I've sold my TV about 16 years ago since it was made for zombies
but I enjoy visiting cinemas and DVD-owners for movies like
Matrix I, Fight Club, Planet Earth, Amélie, City of God, Lammbock, Life is Beautiful, Snatch, Don Juan De Marco, Chocolat, Inception, Hero, What Dreams May Come, Team America, Ashes & Snow, Lord of the Rings,
Avatar, 007 or Mikrokosmos.

Finally the music... This is easy... I like the music :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Suneclipses on Rainbow Gatherings, Alex Grey's Chapel Of Sacred Mirrors, Beethoven's 9th at Carnegie Hall, Kundalini Shakti, Kitesurfing, a 7.9 Earthquake in China, Shakti's dance, Beauty in the eyes of people, the death of a beloved relative, The Great Spirit, Bungeejumping inside the Victoria Falls, Hiking in the Alps, meeting Dr. Albert Hofmann, driving in Bangkok City, a fullmoon night-rainbow inside the Victoria Falls (after climbing over the fence at 2am), Goddess-Transfiguration, diving with whale sharks in Mocambique, puh...

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to share knowledge and I'm interested in almost anything that carries truth, heart, beauty or at least some surrealistic playfulness in it :D Right now I aim to get deeper into photography, webdesign and improve my horrible French.

Besides this I love cooking (vegetarian & mainly organic) and teach yoga. I might occasionally massage or acupuncture people. Also I'm happy to play on an acoustic bass and a loopstation that I usually carry around the world, or on other instruments. Oh, and I wouldn't mind an introduction into Salsa or Tango - from anyone who dares.
