Hi! My name is Jaqui and this year I'm travelling through Europe trying to experience as much of the world as I can before I run out of money and have to go back to Australia to start university. I will be studying a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Communications and Media Studies as I love history and languages (although sadly I only speak English at the moment!) and enjoy writing. I love all animals, the cuddlier the better and don't smoke although very much enjoy a drink ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling is pretty expensive, especially when you're trying to stretch out a budget for 8 months, so couchsurfing seemed like a good way to go :) I went once with my friend who organised the whole thing for me and it was the most incredible (cheap!!!) travelling weekend I've had on this gap year yet.

Interests

I like to think that I'm fairly open to any new ideas or experiences, after all that's what this whole trip has been about! I really like ancient history and modern art, although I'm terrible at art myself it's still super fun and my particularly favourite art style is surrealism. I love going out dancing, trying traditional food of the country I'm in and love all animals.

I love pretty much all music that you can sing or dance to, my favourite movies are comedies and when it's cold I love snuggling up to read a good book. Some favourites are:

I'm more into tv series than movies, such as-
The Big Bang Theory, New girl, 2 Broke Girls, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Sex and the City, Arrow, Bones, Criminal Minds, The Mentalist, Lucifer, Charmed, Friends, Gilmore Girls, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, the list goes on!
Books-
I've literally read hundreds of books, but ones that I have reread again and again include the Harry Potter series (of course), The Host by Stephanie Meyer and anything by Richelle Mead

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw the Northern Lights while eating candy and drinking Russian vodka, which was absolutely incredible!!
