I'm easy going, funny, but usually not really chatty until I've had a drink or two. I'm married to Angie, the woman you see in my photo. We've been married 14 years and have two 7 year old children. I like to drink coffee and listen to morning songbirds. I worked offshore for a decade. But now I'm back to studying full-time.

I'm signing up for couchsurfing because we're considering a move to Austin for studying, and I'm hoping to avoid an expensive hotel stay while we're checking out the town. Obviously, there are several other benefits. But right now, my focus is practical.

My go to music of late is ambient - real tranquil stuff. I find it an effective antidote and a nice break from the frenetic pace of life.

My favorite books usually have something to do with ethics, philosopy, nueroscience, sociology. I like a good fiction too - just don't seem to run across them often enough.

I'm learning Spanish and would enjoy attempting to converse in that language. I'm an aspiring polyglot, so I'd especially enjoy spending time with others with a similar inclination.

I ran a marathon a few years ago. I could offer tips and encouragement to an aspiring long distance runner - although I've really slacked off lately.
