ABOUT ME

I'm a really laid back person and my favorite thing to do in Prague is to visit the beer gardens or go to my favorite pub. I often like to go dancing, drinking all night until I can't remember the next day what happened the night before, the latter is quite rare but still possible!

I teach English, but it's more of a temporary thing I'm doing to facilitate my life in Prague. In October I'll begin my course at the economics university in Prague and then I'll be a full time student again.

When I have couchsurfers over, I normally like for them to have some idea about what they want to do that way I can assist in finding some activities for them. I don't like to tell people what they should and shouldn't do, but I am always willing to provide suggestions!

I just moved into a larger flat, so I'm able to host right for the first time finally!! I feel like I can give back to the program this way.

I've surfed in Vienna and I also participate in some of the events in Prague.

Interests

My number one passion is traveling. I think it's the key to having an open heart and an open mind. I like exchanging ideas with people who view topics differently than I do.

I exercise a bit, mainly just running, but I also like biking and doing other things inside the gym.

I enjoy reading all types of books as well as news articles online.

Last but not least I enjoy architecture. Coming from the U.S to Europe is awing to me, the old buildings, castles and cathedrals.. Also there are many modern buildings that just blow my mind away.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music has a lot power to make you feel a certain way and I like that about it. I enjoy relaxing music, whether it be electronic or reggae .

I'm not too interested in the cinema but sometimes there are some good cult movies that are made that catch my attention. Hollywood has lost all appeal to me :D

I normally read while I'm on the public transport! Sometimes I go to a park, as there are many in Prague, and read. Now I'm reading Kafka, maybe you can ask me something about him one day hahah!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to indonesia to help during the tsunami in 2004. I was part of a helicopter crew in the Marines and we worked there for 3 weeks. We arrived just 2 days after the tsunami. It's the most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life.
