Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm travelling through mexico and central/ south America over the next 8-12 months and I'm looking for genuine interactions and experiences with local people. I really want to get to understand and enjoy the places that I visit and local knowledge is key...

Interests

I love reading. I'm heavy into sci-fi but I also enjoy interesting personal tales and the occasional fantasy novel. I'm right into music, I play drums very well but I can also play a few ditties on the guitar. I enjoy being a part of nature, in the hills and forrests, near water, but I'm also right at home down at the local with the boys, sipping a few cold ones... And who doesn't love a good night on the town!!??

Massive variety of music, from reggae dub, heavy metal, old punk/rock/blues rap... Nick cave, metallica, the ramones, the cranberries, the pogues, Bob Dylan, van Morrison, CCR, flume, hermitude, Janis Joplin, dead Kennedy's, pink Floyd, the black keys... Etc etc...

My favourite book right now is Shantaram, but I have read thousands.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Had a drum thrown around my neck and pushed into the center of a circle with a troupe of 10 drummers playing music for 5000 worshippers on shivaratri festival. Rural southern India. We danced, beat and drank the night away.
