ABOUT ME

I'm an easy-going, outgoing guy who enjoys stimulating conversation (I enjoy deep conversations about shallow topics just as much as more meaningful topics.. there's a time and place for everything).

PHILOSOPHY

I'm calculated yet instinctive. Which means, generally speaking, I'll do my homework, weigh my options, then go with my gut (but at least I know what I'm getting myself into).

I try not to let opportunities pass me by, especially those that are foreign to me. Love meeting new people and expanding my world views.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Brand new! I have not couchsurfed yet, but I met a couple CS veterans here in Prague who raved about it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly read non-fiction and very much enjoy books about the early-mid 20th century (a bit nerdy, I'm ok with that). Kalush and Sloman's biography of Houdini (The Secret Life of Houdini) is a favorite. I also enjoy going into bookstores and asking for romance novel recommendations.

Love music as I mentioned... A Tribe Called Quest, People Under The Stairs, The Fugees, Blackalicious, Wu-Tang, Marley, Pete Rock, Kanye, K-Os, DJ Shadow, RJD2, Jurassic 5, Steely Dan, The Postal Service, The Roots, Phoenix, Whitest Boy Alive, Petty, Mark Farina, Miguel Migs, Rusted Root, Santana, The Stones, Sublime, CCR, honestly.. a lot of different genres and artists, I just like anything that sounds good to me.

Movies: City of God, Top Gun, Shawshank, Fight Club, Burn after Reading, Gran Turino, Inglourious Basterds, Memento, Forrest Gump, The Departed

If you're looking for more substance, I know a good deal about American politics, having worked in political media for a few years. I'm knowledgeable about current events, and know my share about the internet and online marketing. I'm also happy to introduce people to music they may not have heard before..
