I am a nature lover, have horses and dogs, and live in a rural setting.
I enjoy sharing hikes, maybe longer backpacking trips and ideas with like-minded people. I am respectful, tidy, and have a curious active mind. I am open to new experiences, have lived in Europe and Canada, and have made big career changes throughout my life. Books, good food, hanging out with friends and quiet time in nature are what makes me happy, but I am up for a concert or a museum visit too! I favour plant-based food, and non-violence towards animals is one of my core values.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am fine with solo travelling, but it’s so much more enjoyable to meet people and share what we love. Saving money is not the primary reason I am trying this, more hopefully making new acquaintances or maybe friends and sharing what I love.

Music, Movies, and Books

Soo many books…I just discovered Olga Tokarczuk, love Donna Tartt, many classics are dear to my heart too…
I listen to many styles of music, love a classical concert too…try not to spend too much time on screens, but I really liked “the leopard” and “Katla” (on Netflix which is all I have). Plus any documentary will probably interest me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing is a big word that I would probably not apply to myself, I did a few longer skiing and winter camping trips into some really remote and cold areas of the Yukon.

I like to reflect about things, hear about other people’s views. I follow and reflect on politics and world affairs. I am curious about other people’s expertise.

A spot to pitch your tent, cooking area, and shower. Maybe my couch in the winter…Some really easy outstanding recipes, backcountry and outdoor tips, best hidden trails and routes in the Yukon ( as long as you don’t hunt or trap), and books that I love.
