Hello! I am so excited to start this journey of self discovery and exploring new places! I am a 39 year old animal nurse, born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. My heart has always been in travel but my career did not afford me the time necessary to fully immerse myself in my dreams. I was making do with the 2-3 weeks of holiday I had per year. During this unprecedented time, priorities have changed and I have shifted my goals to set my schedule and make travel my focus. I am super laid back, try to enjoy life to the fullest and enjoy immersing myself in new cultures. I enjoy meeting new people and trying to gain perspectives about the places I am visiting from a local's point of view. I love animals and being outdoors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am reactivated my dead profile as I am determined to meet new people in new places. As well, I met my partner, Roberto (https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/robertovet) who happened to have amazing experiences with couchsurfing. We both share the love of travel and can't wait to experience the world together, meeting amazing friends along the way. We are also happy to share our home with like-minded travelers looking for an adventure in the Rockies!

My favourite music is anything I can dance and sing to besides country. 90s dance and EDM is on top of that list.
My favourite movies are Deus Ex Machina, What We Do In the Shadows, Cool Runnings and The Lion King.
My favourite books are the Animorphs series.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My best memory from any trip is the last one I did before the COVID pandemic traveling to Australia. I camped in the outback in a canvas sack under the stars. It was amazing to wake up and see the universe staring back at me from above.
