Hey there! I'm a journalist who wants to embrace her dream of traveling the world before she turns 30. I've been overseas before, during college, but my bucket list of places to visit is still long. It includes Greece, Jordan, and Australia.

I'm luckier than most, in that I have an online, part-time job that allows me to embrace a digital nomad lifestyle. I do a lot of work from home (or on the road) on my laptop. While at home, I'm an introvert, so I often prefer reading or watching TV to going out. I have an adorable cat named Ferry.

I'm planning an 8-month trip overseas in 2024 (primarily in North Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East). I hope it's the first of many long-term trips, including a trip around the world. I'll be going alone, so I'm hoping to make some friends on the road and learn a lot about the local culture and community. I sometimes find it tough to travel by myself, so I'm open to making connections, even if it doesn't result in a place to stay.

Interesses

I'm a big fan of musical theater (Broadway, here in the US) as well as theater in general, including Shakespeare. I'm also an avid watcher of soccer, especially the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team. In my free time, I often read ebooks on my phone or play tabletop games with my friends. My favorite is a strategy board game called "Castles of Mad King Ludwig," based on real-life German castles.

I'm a huge fan of science fiction, especially "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Supernatural." I'm a rock climber, mostly indoor routes at the gym. I also do some hiking, especially when I can do it somewhere new.
