Whenever I travel, I like to have a local experience and be hosted by people. I'm really curious and don't feel like I've been to a place unless I've had at least 4 informal interviews with "strangers." I have little financial means so couch surfing is a way to travel the way I like and within my means.

I'm currently traveling as part of a historical art project and it's leading me to different places. Wherever I go, it's likely because curiosity and research led me there. I recently went to Montgomery, AL and found my great grandfathers gun. Following this gun has led me to Dutchess Co., and Albany, NY for example.
