ABOUT ME

I'm 20 years old, originally from Malaysia, studying Mathematics in United Kingdom for over 2 years now.

I'm trying to explore and travel when I get the opportunity, as I am a student still, it means my christmas, easter and summer break. I like visiting exotic places and am trying to explore the unconventional means of traveling. I am also a big fan of the whole idea of traveling alone!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in a world where the resilient ones survive. I am also an atheist who believes in a system with justice and balance.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a new member of the community, I do not have any couchsurfing experience and looking to gain some of that over this summer!

兴趣

I love arts, be it visual arts or performance arts. I love playing guitar and drawing.

As I am a Mathematics student, I do have a peculiar (as you may say) obsession of looking up hard mathematics questions to solve them.

I am very fond of rock-climbing/bouldering and running.

I enjoy watching movies but do not have particular affection for any specific genre, well, it all depends how I was feeling that particular evening.

However, there are several movie directors that I like, such as, Wes Anderson, Darren Aronofsky, Quentin Tarantino, Tim Burton, and Martin Scorsese. Not much of a fan for Action movies though.

One of my favorites of all time: Requiem For a Dream.

Where do I even start with Music! I play guitar (very little, classical background). I enjoy all kinds of music but electronics and pop. I adore Bob Marley, Andy Timmons, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Slash, Guns and Roses, Florence and the Machine, John Butler Trio, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Tenacious D, Timothy Emmanuel, Yngwie Malmsteen, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers. and of course The Beatles!.... and the list goes on and on. Music soothes souls, music unites people... this is another list that goes infinitely.

My point? I love music, and if you are too, we are definitely going to get along just fine.

I am starting to feel a little bit artistic writing this column. I enjoy reading leisurely, under the sun (which is pretty rare in UK, hmm) or in a coffee shop on a cold winter afternoon. I like poetry, literary and historical fictions.

I would choose to stand on the conservative side when it comes to the war between ebooks and books. Do not banish paperbacks, they smell fantastic!
