Dear lovely couchsurfing-community,
I am an easy going character. I'd describe myself as organized and tidy, but at the same time I am quite spontaneous. I love to meet new people, see new places and in general, I love to be away from home. I grew up in Germany (Saarlouis - Saarland). After high school I spent one year in the US (NJ) as an Au-Pair - one of the greatest experiences I ever had! Straight after, I started my Bachelors in European Law at Maastricht University (NL).Only recently I was accepted for a Master program at the same uni, so I guess I will be spending some more time in the Netherlands for now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel, and I love to meet new people. I guess that would basically explain already why I am on couchsurfing. But it might also have to do with the fact that I'd say I gain more by seeing new cities together with people who know them already, or based on insider tips, so to say, than wandering around with a tourist guide ;)

Interests

I enjoy spending time outside, especially in summer, when the sun is out and you basically cannot stay inside. I try to exercise twice a week, but depending on exams, and other excuses that does not always happen ;) I like to spend time with friends, at the movies or at home cooking a nice dinner.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music is quite diverse. I like Rammstein, the Script, Phil Collins, David Garrett, DieAntwoord, Gentleman,.... . I guess as long as it fits the mood I can listen to basically everything ;) Same goes for movies, the only genre you won't get me to join in is horror. I watched the trailer of Saw and couldn't sleep for nights :-D Besides that, I am quite open. Books on the other hand, I have to admit, are not really my thing. Every now and then I enjoy Nicholas Sparks, but only as it is super easy to read. Within my studies I have to read so much that I am often quite happy not to concentrate on anything written after I'm done.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After high school I spent one year in the US. As I was only 18 years old that was quite an adventure. I got to travel a lot, but the best experience was the road trip I did with a couple of friends by the end my year. We went to see LA, Las Vegas, San Fransisco, Death Valley, and basically everything that was somehow on our way. After that, we took the plane to Miami and drove down to Key West. I am still excited when I think about this trip!
