The idea of surfing waves terrifies me so I thought I'd start with couches. I also enjoy meeting new people and showing them around town. Also, travelling is pretty great apart from tourist traps and expensive hotels/airbnbs, so couch surfing seems to solve those two unfortunate aspects of travel.
