I am 22 years old and from Durango, Colorado and I love to climb, hike, bike, dance, raft/tube, ski practice yoga and do any fun outdoor activities. I just finished college in my hometown at Fort Lewis and graduated with a degree in mathematics. I worked in restaurants the last two years but have worked construction, childcare and with the disabled as well. I am seeking a full life and therefore taking my opportunity to travel now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am flying into Copenhagen and I do not have but a handful of friends across Europe. I am hoping to see the real fun that locals have and not get distracted by too much tourism. I have a ticket to Lollapolooza in Berlin. I also have a Eurail pass for 3 months. My ticket is one way, if they let me fly without a return ticket.

Interests

I like pretty much most outdoor activities and try to stay physically active. I also like cooking, puzzles, movies, and love to dance. I am interested in being healthy and learning/growing as much as I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like hip hop, jazz, electronic, rock, alt, Latin, reggae, pop... I like lots of music. I like variety.
I like thrillers, actions, horror, drama, romance, fantasy movies. Anything fun or cool, I am open.
I do not read a lot. I just finished school and work and hope to start reading more now on my travels. I do love fantasy, mystery, adventure and sci fi.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have attended a summer camp for one week every summer for the last seven years, the first three as a camper and last four as a youth counselor. It is a performing arts camp, and what better place to open a kid out of his shell than singing, acting and dancing? As a camper I learned of the support a family like that offered and the amazing thing I did is returned every year to give back and, hopefully, inspired some youth to be the biggest people they can be.

Teach, Learn, Share

I attended a few education classes at Fort Lewis College. I think I might be a teacher at some point. I know English and I studied mathematics. I also have studied yoga and dance. I know a lot about the outdoors and the activities that are associated with them (at least in a mountain/river town). I am positive and excited to learn about all the food, music, dance, culture and share as much as I can.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to help in any way. I can clean, I am strong and can move, paint, work the garden, repair and do most tasks. I also can help with children, teach English/math, would love to practice/teach yoga for physical health and can cook too.
