Though I first signed up for Couchsurfing eons ago, I never actually used it so I'm fairly new to the site (as of spring 2025). That said, I'm a frequent Misterbandb user with impeccable ratings and happy to share them.

I'm a full-time travel writer and cultural reporter by profession, host my own travel podcast called Best Gaycation Ever and am an enthusiastic wanderer always off to see the world.

I am naked a lot at home so am really only set up to host men (gay/bi/straight are all welcome). I also prefer to stay with hosts who are comfortable with nudity.

I live in Silver Lake, the gay/hipster part of LA in a charming bungalow with the world's friendliest cat.

I always enjoy getting to know my host(s) and guest(s) if time permits.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I stay in hotels all the time for work, but love that a site like this offers a chance to connect with locals and in neighborhoods away from tourist zones. It's really not about saving money for me.

Too many to name! Avid bookworm here. Have not had a TV in more than 20 years, but I do watch shows and movies on my iPad. I am a huge supporter of queer artists.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Because I work in travel I am fortunate enough to say I have had many amazing adventures. A couple that stand out include visiting a divided Germany as a kid the year before the Wall came down, scaling a skyscraper in Chicago and hanging out with photographer Robert Mapplethorpe's mentor in his New Orleans apartment.
