About Me

Howdy! I'm originally from the Midwest-Omaha and have lived in Durango, Austin, Phoenix, LA, Portland, and now live in the Northwest. I was raised to say please & thank you & yes sir & yes ma'am. I like to make people laugh and can be outgoing under the right circumstances.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

With my job I can fly just about anywhere in the world and often have a week or more off so it makes sense to join the couchsurfing community. I have a roommate who is an avid couchsurfer and she has convinced me it's safe and and great way to explore the world and meet new people.

Interests

I'm a good cook and can make a mean Kentucky mule. I garden (basically just water plants that won't die). I play guitar and enjoy live music. I recently started mountain biking witch is great fun, scary, and sometimes hurts real bad.

Music, Movies, and Books

Gritty old school blues above all else. Led Zeppelin, black keys, blue grass, Leon Bridges most recently. Documentaries about how amazing life and science is, gangster movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saw the sun rise in Maui (ironically the coldest morning ever spent) proceeded to bike down a volcanic along the way passing thru mountain clouds and enormous beauty feeling the rush of the wind, picking up speed, peeling off close, tasting the best mango jam on toast, bonding with father & brother. Smiling the whole way down the mountain.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experience as a host myself. Places you should visit. What the climate is really like in Oregon. How to play an E cord. The best way to spice up salmon from the Rogue river.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Cambodia, Canada, China, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand
