Hi I’m Jason! I’m an American (Nebraskan) who has been living as a digital nomad for the last 6 months or so, mostly in Europe with a homebase in Paris. I've also lived a while in California's San Francisco Bay Area and Minnesota's Twin Cities. I'm a scientist turned entrepreneur starting The Pennycress Company, a plant science startup that is making the world a better place by bioengineering plant-based sustainable aviation fuel.

For fun, I like practicing French, Spanish, and then bits and pieces of other foreign languages; experiencing new places and their cultures. I love learning about the natural world through natural history museums, botany, snorkeling and tide-pooling; making music covers by ear or improvising on piano or guitar, staying active by following the four D’s of dodgeball, playing the occasional video or board game, listening to books and podcasts on nonfiction subjects. And most importantly, keeping up with friends and family.

I'll occasionally watch something critically acclaimed if i'm in the mood. But still, mean girls and hot rod are two favorite classics.
