About Me

Howdy! My name is Jason Way, I just recently graduated from THE Texas A&M University. From New Orleans/Dallas and I'm currently working/living in downtown Houston, TX.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is all about meeting new people, not staying up in some hotel. I love meeting locals and showing locals my city. It gives you such a better feel and experience (and crazier stories!)

Interests

People call me a jack of all trades. Some of my hobbies include: Sailing, motorcycle camping, parkour, longboarding, slacklining, and gymnastics. Also, I'm a musician with most notably 11 years and counting on the cello and play with a band in Austin, TX. I also play piano, ukulele, and bass guitar. I've been a DJ for 7 years and have had some pretty great experiences with that gig.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like EDM and would like to attend more festivals. I love reading-buying a kindle was one of the best purchases I ever made!

Also love classic rock, blues, soul and motown! Gotta respect the 70's and 80's funk

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been tanker surfing. Google it. Not many people can say they've done that. Perks of going to college on an island!

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach gymnastics/calisthenics and parkour to beginners! I give cello lessons, as well! I'm wanting to learn another instrument and a type of martial art. I'm also looking forward to learning another language!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Laughs, good creole cooking, and hopefully many memories!

Countries I’ve Visited

Mexico, Spain
