I'm a current Geology student at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, located in the foothills of the Canadian Rocky mountains, with beautiful rocky peaks to the west and seemingly unending plains to the east. I live in an amazing part of the world which, by the shear nature of its geography, allows me to pursue my passion for the earth sciences, exploration and learning. If you can't find me behind a book or perusing the internet, you can usually find me out in the mountains exploring.
I am chronically curious, always asking questions, always wanting to know more. I'm most often down for conversations with anyone who can make my brain tingle. If you can alter or refine my view of the world, then you've won me over. Really, as long as you're a good caring person, I'm probably gonna like you! If you'd let me into your world and explore mine, our perspectives can only grow bigger!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A couch surfing world is a world I want to live in. I'm passionate about learning everything there is to know and experiencing everything there is to experience in my hometown, Calgary. When I see tourists come to Calgary and merely hit up the quintessential touristy locations in this city, I feel a deep pain knowing that they have occupied their stay with fluff while forsaking the meat that is Calgary. If they had only gotten to know a passionate and well informed local, they could have experienced what Calgary really is. By acknowledging this, I recognize how much of a victim I am to this sad experience when I visit new cities. Hence, when I travel, I aim to meet locals who are passionate and informed about their cities in hopes that I can experience their home, the way they too experience it.
