ABOUT ME

I grew up in Bendigo and moved to Melbourne a few years ago to study.

I very much enjoy doing new things, meeting new people and making my world a bigger place.

I don't like watching TV.

I'm a not so secret aeroplane nerd, but I channel most of that into uni and t-shirt collections.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm doing an internship in Friedrichshafen, Germany for 6 months. I'll see a bit of Europe amongst it all and would love to get to know some couches, their owners and places they live.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have heard many good things from many good people

Interests

Getting to know the world I'm in and some other ones I'm not in.

Food. Especially asian food, but I'll give (almost)anything a go. Cheese is wonderful, as are chilli chips. Beer and wine are also fantastic.

Walking, biking, reading.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like music with no words, which I suspect is becuase I'm not very good at hearing them. Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai, etc. I also like music with words. Many things from many places.

Have been really enjoying the Gruen Transfer and Mad Men. I also like shows that aren't about advertising; 30 Rock, Flight of the Conchords, some other stuff that's not set in New York. I tend not to have the patience for movies these days unless somebody makes me.

I enjoy reading almost as much as I enjoy buying books. Feynman is good value. Just got into Two Caravans. I thouroughly enjoy Wired magazine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent the best couple months ever traveling through south-east asia with my girlfriend in early 2008.

Some generous people sent around the US for a couple weeks in September 2008 to meet people who make flying things.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, India, Italy, Laos, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, Germany
