About Me

I'm an anarchist, activist, freegan, hitchhiker and squatter.

I live at the anti-lignite-mining protest camp next to the Hambacher Forst, where I've been involved in actions against the energy company RWE, who own the coal mine.

I regularly scavenge food from the supermarkets, such as REWE.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In mid-2008, I left my country of birth to hitchhike across the EU. I wanted to go to London to live as a squatter, but, because of the bad weather, I changed my mind and went to Barcelona instead, where I knew there's a large squat scene as well.

I didn't like Barcelona, but, luckily, after a few months, I met two French anarchists on the street, and they took me to Paris in their van and dropped me off in a squat. Unfortunately, I got kicked out in less than a week.

In late 2008, I squatted a restaurant in Paris, where I lived by myself for a few months before being discovered and kicked out in the middle of winter by the owner. I then hitched to Nice, where I tried to squat a shop, but I was caught.

In late 2009, after having travelled for a year and a half and having been to eleven countries, including Switzerland, I was tired of travelling, and so I caught the ferry from Calais, France, to Dover, England, from where I went to London.

In early 2010, I went to live in a squat in Bloomsbury, central London. After having lived in three squats in Bloomsbury, none of which lasted more than a few weeks, I went to live in Southwark, North Kensington and Palmers Green. Then I was kicked out, along with a few others.

In late 2010, I squatted a pub in Highgate, a rich neighbourhood in north London. The squat was evicted two months after. A week before the eviction, I had already squatted a house less than 100 metres away. The squat received unexpected media attention, but was evicted in less than two weeks.

In January 2011, I squatted a dilapidated house in Hampstead Garden Suburb, another rich neighbourhood, next to Highgate. The house was too small for twenty people, and it had no plumbing, no water and, at first, no electricity, because the fuses were missing.

In March 2011, after two months, I left and consecutively squatted three more houses in Hampstead Garden Suburb, including one belonging to the Embassy of Congo, before moving on to Golders Green, St Johns Wood, Notting Hill, Hornsey, Archway, and Wood Green.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can paint, repair bicycles, fix computers, change locks, among other things, as well as help with household chores, such as dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dishwashing, laundry, cooking, watering plants, moving the lawn, weeding the garden, taking out the rubbish, chopping wood and cleaning the house.
