About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To ramble around the globe, meeting the good people and the weirdos along the way.
ABOUT ME
I'm an easy-going & inquisitive guy who has done a good amount of travelling but still have many places I want to see. My current job allows me to work from wherever I am so I figure I should take advantage and get out there to meet some people, share some drinks/stories/laughs/vistas etc. and see if can give a bit back in return. For someone who is a natural born couch surfer, I should've been doing this a long time ago!
PHILOSOPHY
I like to keep things fun, relaxed, and just go along to get along.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just showed up here recently, and since I am travelling for a few months, unfortunately I don't have a couch for anyone quite yet. In any case, I look forward to doing my small part to help the couchsurfing culture thrive.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Up to now all my couch surfing has been done freelance style, without the benefit of this site. That being said, I have hosted and been hosted (with people ranging from close friends to relative strangers)across Canada and the US, and most recently in Ireland, Germany, and the Czech Republic. In every case, it has been a pleasure.
Interests
I'm a walker and photographer, can play the drums without embarrassing myself, don't mind knocking back a couple drinks and striking up some lively conversation with the people I happen to run into. I read quite a bit, working on a writing project now (involving travel) and can be a voracious consumer of music. Oh yeah, I'm a sports nut. Just not a nutty nut.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can take blockbusters and art house movies alike.
My musical tastes have a wide range (Stevie Wonder, Willie Nelson, Metric, Public Enemy, Joe Jackson, Spoon, Rodrigo y Gabriela, J Davey, The Kinks etc.) and I'm always looking to discover new stuff from anywhere.
I'm reading Roald Dahl short stories right now.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Been all across Canada (the motherland, and the Rockies are a must-see), the USA (tonnes of good stuff, but especially California. Something for everyone there, particularly Big Sur). I've seen the day-to-day life in Dublin (love that city), and lived in Prague and the Czech countryside, rode a camel through a sandstorm in Mongolia, explored ruins in Malta, got teargassed in Istanbul, visited a village of calligraphers in rural China, and more. Drinking a couple cold beers in a private cove on Grand Cayman while listening to the surf roll in was also a highlight.
Teach, Learn, Share
Not sure I'm entitled to teach.
