Overview
About Me
I am basically a nerd who loves to travel and experience new things. Married to my lovely wife Claire who I met whilst travelling. I am someone who is quite easygoing and likes to be social, but I am also okay with being alone and do my own thing. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet new people while I'm traveling around. Couchsurfing makes it possible to meet new people who all have their own adventures and stories to share. It is also a great way to learn about the local area and culture.
Interests
I love to go bouldering and do it at least once a week. I like to play boardgames and Dungeons 'n Dragons with friends. I have built two drones which I like to fly with from time to time (but to be honest, they are collecting some dust at the moment). I like to cook when my wife lets me (she loves to cook herself as well 😅). I like to travel and go hiking or snowboarding in mountains.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a broad taste of music, going from indie rock music (e.g. Arctic Monkeys) to chill electronic music (e.g. Parra for Cuva). I try to read books every now and then. One of my favourites is the autobiography of Simon Reeve, a great traveller from the UK with a fascinating book.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Multiple years ago, I did not have any plans. I packed my car and drove in a random direction, not knowing what my destination would be.
- Traveling through Latin America for half a year on my own.
- And the best thing, meeting my wife in a hostel in Athens whilst both travelling.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to teach, learn and/or practice languages. I also love to share some of my vegetarian recipes and cooking with eachother. I am a strong believer that food is there to be enjoyed and sharing it with each other is a great way to connect. I can teach you many things in the technical area, if it's programming, mathematics, physics, electronics or something else, I'm open to all.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm open to a lot of things. Besides some good company and having some good conversations, I'm willing to cook or help in the house. I've helped set up someone's internet and fixed a Google Home system. So if you need help with any nerd related stuff, feel free to ask.
