ABOUT ME

I grew up in Nelson, New Zealand and currently live in Christchurch, New Zealand. I love the outdoors and partake in activities such as snowboarding, surfing, wakeboarding, tramping etc. I also have a huge love for all types of music! I love to meet people and share awesome experiences and would like to travel and experience different cultures. I speak some Spanish and love to practice when the opportunity arises. I also love to play guitar in my free time. I consider myself an easy-going, energetic person who enjoys the outdoors as well as to party! I like to lead a balanced life partaking in all sorts of activities.

PHILOSOPHY

I live life to get the maximum enjoyment out of it and want to share that with others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had lots of experience hosting couch surfers in New Zealand although it has been through my good friend´s profile as we lived in the same flat so ended up using his account. We had awesome times with the vast majority of couch surfers including taking some to parties, surfing or just generally hanging out with them. I couchsurfed in Colombia and had amazing experiences with all surfers. I even ended up moving into a flat with two people I met through couchsurfing!!

I am right into music and play (guitar and sing) in a band in New Zealand. We played covers but currently I have just begun writing original music.

I also have a passion for the outdoors as New Zealand is the perfect place to get involved in all outdoor activities. I love snowboarding in the winter and have a keen group of friends who love to ski/snowboard the mountains in NZ all through the winter. I also love to go mountain biking and running. I tried surfing for the first time last summer (in NZ) but am very much a beginner. I love going on missions as well which is why I am travelling right now. Languages also interest me and I am currently improving my spanish.

Goals for this year include completing a PG2 paragliding course so that I can fly anywhere in the world and saving enough money to be able to head off to a spanish speaking country to improve my spanish and enjoy the culture and lifestyle.

Music: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Muse, the Beatles, U2 John Butler Trio, KOL, John Mayer, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, The Offspring, Daft Punk to name a few. Love all types! I loved the music in Latin America when I was there.

Movies: Lord of the Rings, Good Will Hunting, Into the Wild, The departed, Cidade de Deus

Books: The long walk to freedom, scar tissue, Rafa, Matilda (IN SPANISH) coz it´s helping me learn.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Did an 8 day bike ride from Auckland to Christchurch with four other mates. Planning to cross the Cook Strait in kayaks with a group of mates in 2012/13.

One of the most amazing things i have seen was the amazon when I took a cargo boat for 7 days from Pucallpa to Iquitos (Peru) with two other friends from NZ. We enjoyed beers on top of the cargo boat at night while watching sunsets, moon rises and lightning. EPIC!
