Hi I’m Jasper. I was born and grew up in Kenya, East Africa. I attended university in Manchester, England studying politics and history.

For the three years since my graduation I have spent most of my time traveling through South America and Australasia. I held a range of jobs in both Australia and Indonesia during this period as a way of funding my travels.

In general, I am a very outdoorsy guy and most my hobbies involve that. I am an avid trekker, waterman, camper, biker and lover of nature. I have traveled through the amazon, Papua new Guinea and Bornean rainforests along with the Himalayas, alps and Andes. Exploring is my life. I also love reading and conversing about everything under the sun bar maths!

I love the concept of the insider scoop to countries I visit so I’ve decided to start prioritizing Couchsurfing as a way of meeting interesting locals.
