ABOUT ME

Hey - 24yr. old male, grew up in small-town Ontario. Like any good Canadian, I enjoy exploring the great outdoors. Currently working winters in Jasper, Alberta and after a long winter of skiing decided to 'take it easy' this past summer and just ride my bike. Back in Jasper now ski patrolling at Marmot Basin and trying to find the fresh stashes of snow in the backcountry on days off.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is the longest thing any of us will ever do... better to enjoy it with friends, family, and loved ones, have fun doing it, and make the best of the worst.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a relatively new member to couch-surfing, but after learning about another reciprocal hospitality site on my bike trip which is for cycling tourists - Warm Showers - I wanted to learn more. I did some couch suring in Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and hope to host surfers when I'm stationary. When traveling I sometimes find myself with the 'blinders' on, and I hope to have my eyes opened through the people I meet couch surfing meeting local people and learning local knowledge.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New to couch surfing, however, as I have learned, when you're on the road, nice people seem to meet nice people... Meeting genuine people is what turns an ordinary trip into an extraordinary one, each place made unique by the people you meet.

兴趣

I like learning new skills, anything with an element of challenge... canoeing, skiing, sports, a cold beer after working up a bit of a sweat, and ridin' my bike. Meeting new people and learning about different cultures and styles of life.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Canoe tripping down a remote river in Canada's Arctic, our group came across a herd of muskoxen, these huge shaggy haired prehistoric beasts were the only other signs of life we saw that day and to know that we were sharing the land with them was a cool experience.

Skiing is what I'm doing right now, sharing backcountry experiences and talking about the snow. I have always wanted to become fluent in a second language.
