ABOUT ME

Well, in the course of a conversation, I could talk about myself, but I'm not too good at writing a description of myself in a little box. Let's see, I'm about 1.93 meters tall, 185 pounds (that's roughly 83.91459 kilograms) with brown hair and green eyes. 25 years old, but keep informed, as my age has been known to fluctuate from time to time, especially around August 25th. I can be sarcastic at times, but I can be serious as well. In a moment of seriousness, let me say this; if you want to know anything more about me, don't hesitate to send me a message and ask.

Also, I simply can't envision myself staying in a country that would elect someone like Donald Trump as president. I have been thinking of traveling for a period of several years, or even living and working abroad, and Trump's election was the impetus that I needed to get in gear and start off on the road once more. I can't see myself living in America as long as he is in the Whitehouse, so, whirlwind world travel tour, here I come!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I speak the word of couchsurfing to all those who will listen. Hosting when I can, surfing when I am on the road.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with over 60 different couchsurfers and have even hosted 5 couchsurfers who decided they wanted to visit quiet little St. Charles. To call couchsurfing a positive experience would be a massive understatement; it's far more than just a place to crash for free for a night, it is a great way to get to know other people.

When I first started traveling and didn't know about couchsurfing, reading guidebooks and websites about the places I was about to visit would get me excited and eager to travel; now, my biggest excitement comes when I read through the couchsurfing profiles of the people who live in the towns and cities where I will be visiting. Meeting an amazing person can be the defining moment and best part of traveling somewhere new.

Travel, especially for months and months at a time. Sports, both playing and watching. Photography, philosophy, meeting friends, meeting strangers, walking the streets together, walking the streets alone.

I usually just read the news on the internet, or language books if I can get my hands on them. I have no friends left in my hometown, so I don't go out to the movies and can only talk about movies after they've been out for years. Music; I like a wide variety of music.

I have been to many amazing places and had many amazing experiences, but if you take a moment to look, there are amazing things around us every day. Think of the hustle and bustle of the cities, where millions of people live, work, and play; every single person has their own experiences, their own stories to tell. Think of the beauty of nature, grand and majestic. Think of the amazing technology around that connects the entire world together. The world is an amazing place; it's hard to pick out one amazing moment.
