Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I didn't use couch surfing when I started travelling abroad for holidays in March 2017. I travelled to Japan and booked hotels to stay but the trip was monotonous as I couldn't interact with anybody. There was lot to explore about Japanese Culture and Food but I missed it all.
On my next trip to China I used couch surfing extensively and found it was a very pleasant to couch surf . I got tons of information from locals about their country. So I now prefer couch surf over staying in hotels.
So if you can't host for some reason, I am open to meet for interaction/conversation on common interests.
To meet people from around the world and share experiences with them. To make great lifelong friends . Also to find travel companions to travel around the world.
Couchsurfing is all about meeting great like minded people who will become life long friends.
I had great time travelling because I met great people on the road.
On my first solo trip to Himalayas, I met a very nice school teacher at the youth hostel. We immediately got off nicely. We hungout together and even did trek to a nearby mountain lake beyond the snowline. We shared our expenses and by sharing our expenses whole trip came out very cheap. We were in touch for many years afterwards.
