Chi sono

I have always been connected to food and craved adventure. I took my first steps in the kitchen of my childhood home in Berkeley, California, and leaned how to ride a 2 wheel bicycle when I was 3

I am a dreamer (who lives to make them come true) and restaurant/hospitality entrepreneur, a cooker (because being a chef is too complicated), and explorer (looking in and reaching out).

As an entrepreneur, my life has been full of valleys and peaks, challenges (not failures) and successes

As an optimist I will always reflect, reassess, embrace, move forward and continue to dream

I am out and about on The Royal Ride (my never ending motorcycle adventure) to experience life through sharing meals or just a thirst quenching libation (...coffee, tea, beer, or wine is absolutely fine) and to enrich my life with new friendships and adventures of all kinds

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

I’m surfing (the world) to connect and learn about the amazingly rich and varied cultures (locally and across the globe) I share the planet with, to make new friends, experience life’s diversity through food and drink, and share the adventures I take and the lessons I learn on The Royal Ride

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Why settle for one (in no particular order)!
• Had my appendix removed in Tibet
• Moved to Los Angeles, California in 1978 and got cast as an extra then transitioned to a principle roll in the movie “Falling in Love Again”, one of Michelle Pfeiffer’s early film rolls
• Road a bicycle up the west coast from San Francisco, California to Portland, Oregon during the summer between 11th and 12th grade
• Opened a Mexican restaurant, in the hood, that served cinnamon malt waffles (can anyone say churros) for weekend brunch
• Road a 2012 Royal Enfield C5 (classic 500) single cylinder thumper across the southern US, up the west coast to Canada, flew to Jakarta, Indonesia (the motorcycle came over 10 days later), and finally puttered down the length of Java and took a ferry to Bali
