Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to connect with travelers. To understand the cultures of the countries I want to visit. To meet the locals and to learn something new from the places many people don't always travel. Staying in someones home is an added bonus because we can talk a lot about our different experiences. I

Interests

To meet new people and get to learn some cool phrases in different languages whilst enjoying the local sight seeing attractions I want to know from locals what it is like to live in the town city. To see what everyday life is for them. To taste the local produce and learn how to cook a traditional meal from the area.

Music, Movies, and Books

These are some films I enjoy watching time and time again. Le fabuleux destin d'amélie poulain (Amélie) by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and The imitation game by Morten Tyldum. When I want to watch an anime film I choose the Studio Ghibli series.
A few famous artists from New Zealand are The Mutton Birds, Zed and Bic Runga.
Some good reads are Thinking in numbers by Daniel Tammet and Spell it out by David Crystal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I conquered my fear of heights by climbing up to the to top of a big hill and swung on a rope swing into the air. It felt like I was falling and I was afraid but once I kept on the swing I felt proud.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach people about the local history and some cool places where I've been. Share some song favourite songs and learn about their lives.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a couch with hosts. Offer them Wi-Fi, a towel and a hot meal. I will also show them around where I live and take them to some of the local attractions.
