PERSONAL INFORMATION
Hello there! I am Javi, originally from Madrid, Spain. I have studied and lived one year in Singapore, traveled a lot, then back for a while, and then relocated to Zurich, Switzerland. Originally came for studying, but stayed due to the wonderful people, mountains, and work I have here. Wanderlust and love of the world will always be there inside of me - but is also super nice to have a place to come back to that you love ;)

CURRENT MISSION
Last two years have been though - both at the personal and family situation. There has been a lot of personal discovery and growth, but won't lie, it has been hard and worn me down. In the last few months I have been slowly putting time aside for myself and recovering energy bit by bit, and by now I am at the point that I want to again go out, meet people, and feel that the world is a place of beauty full of friends I simply haven't met yet.

Sightseeing some spots and feeling the place might be great, but what makes traveling special is the people you meet in your way. So, if you happen to receive a request from me, it is because I love your profile and I really want to meet you and share a bit of our lives and experiences.

An intense study-abroad year in Singapore and other travel experiences in India, Nepal, South America..., opened me to the world and its incredible diversity of peoples and cultures. I am proud to say Im in love with the world. CouchSurfing was a fundamental element of that journey and I would love to keep meeting new people and new cultures, whether hosting or being hosted.

When back home, being a host or meet up with other couchsurfers gives you the opportunity of both give something in return to the community and to travel through these people trips. And making more friends, of course. As I get more mental resilience and energy day by day, I hope to be able to open my doors to the world soon again.

音乐、电影和书籍

Music: Usually go for good ol' rock bands (Queen, Supertramp, Pink Floyd) and classical music, but recently life has shown me the pleasures of techno as well. And I very much enjoy latin music for dancing or simply vibing :)

Movies: curious in general - movies take us to different realities and lifes, it is sort of like traveling.

Books: very much into fantasy books (Rothfuss, Sanderson, GRRMartin), some scifi, and quite some sociology / economics / anthropology / self-development books.

Being alive is amazing in itself!

But, if I have to choose one, that is my one month solo thru-hiking in NZ Southern Alps.
